Tutorial: How to edit Backlight images {Auckland family-wedding photographer - Olga Levien}

I'm so excited to share with you my recent sneak peek couples photo on the beach and editing process. I though to share with you how I edit a backlight image and made my subject pop.

You can see my final edits {darker and lighter ones} and also a SOOC image below.

Few things to keep in mind when editing backlight photos:

1. Get it right in camera {you can slightly underexpose and bring exposure up on your subject with dodge brush}, use creative crop to bring more attention to your subject etc.

2. Bring warmth in the image {play with temperature slider, split toning, or add Warming filter in the photoshop}

3. Add contrast and clarity to make your image pop.

4. Clean up the frame.
